Can't change refresh rate
We don't all use CGA/TV monitors anymore, and the screen refresh rate is likely to be anywhere from 60Hz to 120Hz. So while you can use VSYNC for smooth updating of full screen graphics, you can't use it for timing unless you take in to account its rate. I wasn't suggesting using WAIT for the timings;

Monitor Refresh Rate Problem
computer screens now have a refresh rate high enough to not usually cause seizures. It's looking good but, for the life of me, I can't figure out how to change the refresh rate to something greater than 72Hz. InControl tools help tells me to use the refresh tab on ...<SNIP>... Now we can figure out why you can't see a display otherwise. I'ma betting man, and at this point I'm betting that it's because after the STB drivers are installed they're trying to change the refresh rate, color depth and resolution to something your monitor won't properly support. So, let's bring up the Display

For me that's a base boot resolution of 800x600 at 85Khz. The only caveat would be attempting to bump the display up to a resolution using the Amiga screenmode program that can't support your selected base refresh rate under the UAE prefs selected before booting. Jim.
